Character/Character Profiles[/b]
-Sign up with your original character's name (no characters I made up for people to play; you'll audition for those). I don't want fLaMeRdUdE60456 here. I want a good, solid name. If you need one, BehindTheName.com is a good place to start. Also, no fancy stuff, like weird letters. Not everyone can read them due to different computers. So no fancy stuff at all. And yes, they must be capitalized.
-You must have one username per character. So each character is played by one user.
-Max limit of characters: 3. Admin's permission is needed with more than that.
-No being on both sides of the war! It’s either one or the other. But unless it’s possible to thoroughly explain if you’re neutral, then the profile mods can let it slide.
-If you're including a picture, you MUST include a good and well-written description.
-ABSOLUTLY NO perfect characters! Have flaws! No "Mary-Sues"! Realm of Dragon’s staff will ask you to correct some things if it happens....
-Names don't really matter, but it would help if you do'nt make the name too modern. Make it unique. Try looking around at babynames.com.
-If you need to modify something in your profile, you must PM a GMod or the admin before you do so. You need to tell what you're modifying. If you go on without permission, we'll know if or when you did...
-No multiple elements. This is a sort of unfair advantage. >.>
RolePlaying[/b]
-No Godmoding (being invincible and always winning),
-No Powerplaying (controlling any part of a character that someone else plays, including actions, words and thoughts) UNLESS you have permission of both a moderator and the person who's character you wish to powerplay. (Note: You MUST notify at least the admin or a GMod.)
-No OOC talk in the RPGs. (Unless ABSOLUTLY NECESSSARY! They must be removed after two days or a staff will remove it afterwards)
-No chatspeak. No emoticons/smilies. Use proper grammar and use the spellcheck! Also, write in third person. (He said, she said....etc.)
-No fancy font. You can do it in the OOC boards, but with the RP's, it's hard to read. No colors, no marquee, no special fonts. Just write as is. It will be easier for the Mods to keep track and for the other roleplayers to read.
-Mild cursing is okay, but keep it PG-13. No graphic lovey-dovey stuff, but implied is okay. Again, PG-13.
-Posts absolutely cannot be one-liners. Minimum is 120 words -- Not very hard. If you fall short of a couple words, it's okay, we're not counting, but at least make it look like 120 words. If you can't make it look like 120, try to be a little more descriptive about your surroundings, anything to think about, etc...
*Note: If you're leaving a post, the least amount of words is about 35 or more words. IF you fall short by a few words, no big deal*
-Zero-posters will be deleted every month, and activity-checks will be conducted regularly! BEWARE! *coughs*
-A character can only be in one place at one time. Say you're in the eastern part of the Dragon Rider’s territory, but you see an RP you want to join in another part in the Dragon Slayer’s territory. Well, you'd have to finish your part in the eastern part of the Dragon Rider’s territory before you could go on to wherever in the Dragon Slayer’s territory. Think of doing things in a physically possible way.
-Please make sure that the character in the RP matches with the profile itself (e.i. Saying in the profile the character is loveable and sweet and he or she turns out to be a sour and rude in the RP). But if the personalities, clothing, etc. are different in the RP, the only probably excuse is if the character is somehow effected that way in the RP. The only impossible thing that could change because of the RP is the background and somewhat the physical appearance.
General[/b]
-No Spamming
-Keep it PG-13! (PLEASE!!) (Only up to gory violence, but that’s it! Consequences are held for absolutely anyone who breaks this rule.)
-Advertise your site only in designated area!
-Please keep the signatures to 500x200. We don’t want the signatures and avatars to take up too much space in the boards. Staff will ask you to shrink it down if possible.
